“FOR WHOEVER WOULD SAVE HIS LIFE WILL LOSE IT, BUT WHOEVER LOSES HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE WILL SAVE IT.” LUKE 9:24

A TWO-YEAR DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEY AT CROSSPOINT CITY CHURCH

ALL TO HIM VISION FROM PASTOR JAMES

Over the last year, countless lives have been changed as we’ve continued pursuing people far from God to help them know and follow Jesus. People have come to faith in Christ, sleepy Christians have been awakened, and collectively, we’ve grown in our surrender to His Lordship. As you look through the pages of this guide, take time to reflect on what God has done and thank Him for the work that’s been accomplished both in your life and in our church.

As we approach the midpoint of our two year All To Him discipleship journey, God is calling us to more. He continues to put opportunities before us to advance His kingdom by taking the Gospel to people and places that desperately need it. These opportunities serve as clear reminders that our work is never done. As long as there are people in the world who don’t know Jesus, we will do everything in our power to bring them to Him so that they might experience the life they need.

We will continue to focus on Luke 9:24:
“For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.” (Luke 9:24, ESV)

According to Jesus, surrender is a matter of life and death. He gave His all for us, and we respond to His sacrifice by giving our all to Him. Those who believe the Gospel and lose their lives for His sake receive life, but those who hold their lives back forfeit life both now and in eternity. This journey is about taking hold of life and living lives of greater significance through greater surrender to the Lordship of Jesus.

Whether you’re just joining us on this journey, staying faithful through it, or increasing your generosity as the Lord leads, don’t miss this moment to be used by God to make an eternal impact. I love you more than you know, and I’m grateful to be on this journey with you. I can’t wait to see how God uses us together in this next season!

All To Him,
Pastor James

PRIMARY GOAL - 100% PARTICIPATION

THAT EVERY ONE OF US WOULD ASK OURSELVES, “AM I GIVING MY ALL TO THE ONE WHO GAVE HIS ALL FOR ME OR ARE THERE AREAS OF MY LIFE THAT STILL AREN’T FULLY SURRENDERED?”

SECONDARY GOAL

WE ARE BELIEVING GOD FOR $22 MILLION TO ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING THREE GOSPEL-CENTERED INITIATIVES OVER THESE TWO YEARS.

OUR CHURCH

RELENTLESSLY PURSUING THOSE FAR FROM GOD TO HELP THEM KNOW AND FOLLOW JESUS.

OUR CITIES

BLESSING OUR CITIES THROUGH RADICAL SERVICE AND INTENTIONAL GENEROSITY.

OUR WORLD

TAKING THE GOSPEL TO UNREACHED PEOPLE HERE AT HOME AND ACROSS THE WORLD.

SERIES RESOURCES

AS WE WALK THROUGH THIS TWO-YEAR DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEY, WE HAVE PREPARED A LIST OF RESOURCES TO HELP YOU ALONG THE WAY.

YOUR ROLE

  • You recently joined our church family and are wondering, “What is the All To Him discipleship journey, and how do I become a part of it?” All To Him is for anyone who would call Crosspoint City their church home and we welcome you to the family! We hope you will join us on this journey, asking, “Am I giving my all to the one who gave His all for me or are there areas of my life that still aren’t fully surrendered?” Consider making a 12-month generosity commitment to All To Him.

  • Others made an All To Him commitment one year ago and perhaps for some of us, this journey has been as difficult—or possibly more difficult—than we had envisioned. Maybe you went to a completely new level in your generosity and are still adjusting your life to it. Maybe you have experienced job loss, job change, or unexpected financial expenses. Persevere to finish strong in this journey that you began. We all stand together, encouraging one another. We know the Lord is faithful. He will provide and we want to finish strong in our commitment to what He called us to in this season.

  • Some of us made our All To Him commitment one year ago and it is possible that we have had an increase in faith or finances. It is not that keeping our commitment has been easy, because it has likely required a lot of sacrifice. But you may be sensing the Lord stretching you to take an additional step of faith in your generosity. We challenge those of you to respond to His generosity by increasing your commitment. Generosity is not a one-time event; it is a journey. Consider asking yourself these questions: What/who am I chasing? Am I still giving in a way that challenges me? Pray and ask yourself if He is inviting you into another step of faith with an increased commitment.

  • First and foremost, we are asking that you pray and seek God’s leading of obedience in your life. Prepare your heart to hear Him and then do what He says. Engage in a disciple group during this season, engage in personal reflection with God in the All to Him journal that you received during the All to Him series. Talk with your spouse, your family or others about what this commitment will mean for this next season of your life.

We are asking that you make a sacrificial commitment to gospel-centered generosity – whatever it is that God is leading you towards. Follow His leading. Finally, we ask that you prepare to be amazed. It is an awesome God that we serve and He is going to move in huge ways and we anticipate an unprecedented impact from our collective All to Him commitments – something only God can do.

  • We are asking that everyone make a two-year commitment, which is 24 months. The fulfillment period for your commitment began with our First Big Give on the weekend of December 3, 2023 and it will culminate in December of 2025.

  • You may have been a part of church giving initiatives in the past during which you were asked to give a second gift “above and beyond” your usual gifts to make special initiatives like new buildings and new ministries possible.

Normally, you gave that gift to a “Building Fund” and you also continued to give offerings to the “General Fund.”

At Crosspoint City, we believe that it is all ONE MISSION that we’re on – to relentlessly pursue those far from God to help them know and follow Jesus. So, we want to encourage all of us to unleash our generosity towards that mission.

This All to Him discipleship journey will last for two years. In those two years, every gift that is given to Crosspoint City Church will go to the three key components of All to Him: Our Church, Our Cities, Our World.

  • During this two-year period, every contribution to God through Crosspoint City Church is a contribution to our All to Him Initiative.

Every aspect of the ministry vision God is calling us towards for the next two years will be funded through All to Him. There will not be separate funds. Every gift made will go into the same fund and will be our All to Him giving.

Therefore, every weekend becomes a day to celebrate and contribute towards what God is doing in us and through us to help ALL people discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Be creative as you explore ways you and your family can give towards All to Him. You might have stocks, property or other items of that nature. Or you may have stored resources that God has blessed you with in the past that He just might be calling you to give out of during this time.

Please let us know if you need assistance with facilitating gifts of property or stock and we would be happy to help you with that. You can contact Holly Austin at HollyA@crosspointcity.com

  • All To Him is about your total, radical, sacrificial generosity to God’s mission at Crosspoint City Church. We believe that God calls us to action in times of hardship just as much as He does in times of abundance and that looks different for every person. But All to Him is about a heart change - one that is only accomplished by surrendering our lives completely over to God in this area of giving.

God may be calling you to make a commitment that you don't quite know how to fulfill right now, but that you believe God will provide for as you seek for ways to sacrifice and work towards that commitment. It is not about the size of the gift, but your obedience towards what God is calling you to in this season.

The primary goal of this discipleship journey is 100% participation of every person that considers Crosspoint City Church home.

  • If you are someone currently seeking to make payments to pay off debt right now, we commend you for making progress on that. And you should continue to do so.

We would be happy to help you in this journey and/or to recommend a budgeting class that might minister to you. Being in debt does not, however, make someone "excused" from giving. Giving is not about what God wants from you; rather, it's about what God wants for you.

So, it should be our joy and privilege to give at all times. Please contact us if you need assistance with this or if you would like to speak with a budgeting counselor and we would be honored to help.

  • All to Him was crafted specifically with you in mind. All to Him is a "one fund" generosity initiative, meaning that it is different from a traditional capital campaign where you are called to give an extra gift above and beyond your normal giving - thus creating two steps for people who aren't yet giving. All to Him is a call to sacrificial, gospel-centered generosity for absolutely everyone at Crosspoint City Church.

If you have never given before, this is your chance to get in the game with a committed sacrifice. We really hope you will.

  • All to Him is about the vision for our church. We believe that the local church is one of the most compelling missions to give towards and we would really love for you to make Crosspoint City Church your home and join us in All to Him.

If you are ready for it, this is a perfect time for you to put a stake in the ground and make this your church.

  • Great question. People take different spiritual steps at different times. Some people begin praying before they begin attending church.

Others begin going to a disciple group before they begin talking to God in prayer. Giving is another spiritual step and it comes at different times for different people.

One thing is for sure, however just like other spiritual disciplines, giving draws us closer to God. And God is calling all of us to give. (Matthew 6:19)

Whether you have taken the spiritual step of baptism or whether you haven't yet, we would encourage you to still join us in this All to Him Initiative. We firmly believe that it will draw you closer to God and hopefully to a place where you are ready to make the decision to be baptized.
